Course History
Since LITG's inception, one of our goals has been to lead a student-run equity portfolio, which has become an integral part of LITG’s offerings to students. In 2020-2021, we achieved this goal, and shortly after, the need arose for a course to teach various financial and accounting concepts. This led to the creation of the Analyst Program. The first iteration of the program, written in 2020-2021 by LITG’s Executive Officers, was designed to elevate the educational experience of members and create a more dynamic, modular curriculum focused on real-world applications. The Analyst Program serves as a prerequisite to joining LITG's $425,000 student-managed investment fund.
For the Spring of 2025, the program will be taught by LITG’s Energy Sector Head, Ryan Markus, and Financial Institutions Sector Head, Aidan Lentz, with meetings occurring every Monday from 6:30-8:00pm.
